The other day I was joking with a friend who lives in Canada that it’s been 90 degrees in Alabama for the past six months. Though we’ve only been experiencing the 90 degree heat since May, it sure feels like much much longer. With stifling weather it’s hard to get motivated to complete any projects outdoors whether it’s painting furniture in the driveway or simple garden tasks. My friends on the Thrift Store Decor Team and I have assembled over 148 craft projects that are perfect to complete indoors and keep you out of the summer heat! Yes, in the comfort of your air conditioned home during the hottest time of the year. These craft projects would be great to appease cabin fever or even spring fever too!
I have selected my favorite craft project from each team member. These gals are so talented and creative. I know you will find many many ideas for how to stay crafty and cool!
Shop At Blu – That’s Me! Here’s one of my newest projects.
I might as well start this party with my new fascination – epoxy resin! I found these resin coaster molds online and I just can’t stop playing with the designs. I’m working up to a few big projects in the bathroom and kitchen so what better way to practice? Check out this recent post linked in the photo above and click on the links within to the other resin projects I’ve completed.
Also note that when I select these projects to share, often I am selecting these because of a specific technique or skill that is used and explored by my friends. I know you all love to experience crafting with new mediums and skills. So enjoy this introduction to paint, fabric, transfers, resin, alternate finishes, and always transforming your thrift store finds to make your home fabulous just like you!
